VISMARAVETRO NEWS
In order to celebrate the 70 years of our company we have organized several meetings dedicated to professionals, students and operators of furniture, architecture and design sectors.
The target? Talk about innovation at home and in the bathroom, but also to explore the possible novelties about the materials and styles of the coming years.
The last event was held on Tuesday 17 October in our H2Otto showroom in downtown Milan.
The "fil rouge" has been the evolution of the shower unit: from functional product to furniture item.
The meeting was moderated by Giorgio Tartaro and had as guests arch. Davide Crippa, researcher and practitioner with interdisciplinary skills; Arch. Matteo Ragni, designer and art director and Prof. Arch. Francesco Scullica, professor at Politecnico di Milano.
The speakers investigated the subject with a different approach and they discovered a situation in ever changing.
With the support of evocative images, an analysis has been presented about the changes that have affected the bathroom environment over the last decades.
The change has focused mainly on some aspects: function, space and lifestyles. From a social point of view, its function has changed: from the bathroom as space for body's hygiene to the bathroom where to devote to body care.
The analysis has also highlighted the changes in the bathroom environment within the house/hotel: the shower enclosure passes through a single function confined to the bathroom area to be shown as a design element.
In this context, it is understood how the glass pane that makes up the shower can become a distinctive and recognizable element, so the celebratory pattern70 °, design by Matteo Ragni for Vismaravetro, a texture made of glass with digital printing.
At the end of the project, possible future scenarios were imagined with technologies that can interact more and more, or create bubbles of isolation, disconnections: is this perhaps true luxury? The present guests appreciated the importance of the subject and the professionalism of all the protagonists.
In the Gallery you can find a summary of this evening.
The three speakers addressed the issue in front of an audience of about 60 professionals and, for the first time, Live on our social channels.
